Looking great!
1. The whole screen does not show on my 1024x600 netbook. The bottom is cut off. Is 1024x600 going to be a supported resolution?
1.1 Actually, that's only true when there is no starbase and it uses the giant planet picture. Once it goes to the small planet/starbase pictures, everything fits.
2. 1 turn of rioting destroyed 10 mines, 8 factories, and 0 defense posts. 2 turns destroyed a further 20 mines, 16 factories, and 0 defense posts ("Colonists are fighting"). -42 happiness, no taxes collected. 3 turns, 20 more mines, 16 factories, 0 defense posts.
3. After a bunch more turns, I have -30 mines, -4 factories, and 0 defense posts. That seems like a bug, I don't think negative buildings are intended.
4. This is a personal preference, but I suggest clicking on a button once to open the window, and then a second time to close it. So clicking "build starbase" opens the starbase building sub-window, and clicking "build starbase" a second time closes it. Hunting for the "OK" button is a little annoying.
5. Cosmetic: The picture of my planet looks too big next to the starbase picture when the starbase is selected. Some text is on top of other text on the dashboard at 1024x600.
That's all I have right now, I'll keep poking it!
Thanks,
Brian
1 - In my first turn i missed a button where I could see the host.log 2 - In the window of starbase, the picture of my planet was a little bigger then the background Iit didn´t fit correctly). I think there should be about 10% smaller. 3 - In the window of starbase, when I chose Raise Tech Levels, I cant see buttons down on page. I doesnt fit in the browser window, and there is no scroll option. I work in a resolution of 1280 X 720 (IExplorer 8)
Negative building amounts sounds pretty strange. I've now fixed that one and it will be in the next release. The hardest issues overall will be accommodating all the possible screen resolutions. We'll keep working on it.
