Hi everybody! I have 2 quetions about ion storms: 1.- I'm inside one leve 4 ion strom. I'm playing the cyborg and the storm is moving me one fleet. Can I chunnel this fleet outside the storm? As fireclouds are being moved by the storm, I'm not sure if I can... 2.- If I lay mines inside ion strom, would my minefields destroy enemy minefields also inside the storm? I'm not sure anout it...
Before you try to chunnel out you should check this:
- how much mev (150-199) hit your firecloud in the next turn? - what was the firecloud mass at the begin (!) of this turn and was fuel onboard? - what tech level engine are inside the firecloud?
damage = mev- total ship mass - ship xp + 20*(10-tech level engines)
You ship xp is in average about 5-10 since because firecloud rarely tend to move with normal engines :)

Thanks for the responses! I think as Ted, but not sure... Some of them have good engines (level 7 and transwarp, the ones with stardrive 1 and 3 has been destroyed previous turn)... I think they will survive 1 turn more! The question is: does the movement produced by the ion storm cancel the chunnel like a tow???
