You can see the number of ships at the scoreboard. Ship limit in pretty much all normal games is 500, in your game too. In the rare occasions of higher ship limit, it'll be mentioned in the description page of the game (also in settings in case you need to make sure).

The ship limit is not a hard cap though in current standard games and you can use priority build points to build ships even over ship limit. Just set the friendly code of your starbase to pb1 and it'll build as long as you have points remaining. You seem to have lots. Better still not waste those and build only the best ships you need.

There is a hard and a soft cap. You need to check to see which one was selected for your game. "production queue" games have the soft cap iirc.

Check the scoreboard tab. It will tell you how many warship, freighters and total ships in the game. Remember though, if you are playing a game with the Horwasp in it, you have to subtract the Wasp freighters/pods from the total. They don't count towards the limit.

Ship limit is in the settings section.

http://planets.nu/#/sector/234819/settings

As mentioned its usually 500 ships. And it is so:

•shiplimit: 500

Also Production Queue is mentioned in the game description and also the game settings.

•productionqueue: true

This means that the soft limit is hit at 500 and can go higher if you spend PP's. But if the ship limit drops below 500 you have a chance of getting a ship build (odds based on number of slots and your SB number compared to other SB's).

The ship limit is given from the in game scoreboard.

Or the Data tab of the game.

Currently 517.

The exception is in games where 'hidden scores' are enabled. In such games, you can't see the ship count at any given point. However, before the ship limit is hit, you can generally gauge the ship count by the IDs of the ships you're building (they're essentially assigned sequentially, so if your starbases are building in the mid-to-high 400s, then bet that you're close to the limit).

Beyond that...when your starbases stop building, that's usually a pretty good hint that the ship limit has been reached.
