I would say don't be so cheap on the minerals, and lessen the number of ships if people bitch about more minerals. Looking at this game, the pirates have a great advantage with the amount of minerals and they can turn ship after ship, the carrier races with higher cost of minerals are at a big disadvantage especially when they cannot dig up enough Moly.
