Is there an easy way (shortcut key) to select a x/y coordinate and then have ships (with another shortcut key) set this as a destination waypoint ?

Old winplan did this by selecting starchart, x/y coordinate and in the ship menue you could then select the x/y by one click.

With this feature its easier to move several from several positions on the same x/y.

if you're playing with keyboard and mouse the waypoints will snap onto the set waypoint, and you can move the waypoints more precisely by using the arrow keys

Ok so far, Thanks. But is there a possibility to "copy" a x/y into "memory" to re-use ?

You can use an extra ship to mark a way-point in Deep Space, a Merlin at Warp 0 for example... then other ship way-point orders can easily 'click' to that point in space avoiding scrolling in or using the arrow keys each turn.

Also there is already a mod that you can use to draw on the Starmap, good for drawing on border agreements, and should suit your needs also.
