RA is right - as long as the cloaking ship is NOT damaged after combat with your ships, it will STAY cloaked - such as it was at the start of the turn - NOT 're-cloak', as this is not actually possible with the current game rules for all I know.
As soon as you are uncloaked by any event in a given turn, you won't be cloaked anymore for all the rest of that turn.
Keep in mind that if the ship is actually damaged either by combat or by tripping on a mine, it will not be cloaked the turn after this, EVEN IF IT GATHERS / LOADS SUPPLIES SUFFICIENT FOR A 100% RECOVERY. This I learned after much time thinking the contrary myself.
This way, your best chance of catching it is, intercepting it with a bigger ship as soon as you can understand it has been damaged in some way. Also release mines at the same time, as he / she will know the ship cant't cloak anymore, and will try and run for it - or, move into the warp well to avoid your intercepting. |
