@Eric: You are more than likely correct... but I gave him a hard time for having unrealistic expectations and emplored accepting that Joshua set down a road that becomes hard to abandon despite us both wanting a reboot to a ladder system.
When you agree with someone (he converted me to his view in 2014), but see the content creator steadfast... you side with the creator and work on forming a compromise... which never occurred because in part Mule wasn't open to compromise and drove the majority of discussion.
I didn't have a solution but I knew it required morphing the current system, possibly multiple times, to get what Mule and many of us ultimately would prefer.
Giving up kinda makes being stubborn and malcontent this entire time pointless, outside those minds he changed or those whos views were made vocal.
I think Mules opinion on the new system is now integral for those of us that want to continue the fight... because thus far the 'ladder please' crew has been silent.
I feel this is closer to what I want, but I still want the same thing I did before.
I'd love for Mule to return later, but adopt my attitude, and use his brain to come up with another corpromise to reach a more ladder-like system.
I think stating your negative expectations of a content creator is couterproductive... and being stubborn hurts your goals.
Plus I'm gonna miss being criticized for using 'I' too much, it was improving my writing knowing he'd say that. |
