A word on how this game developed for me: Started normal, got nearly uninteresting due to early und unnecessary drops and now is really exiting because of excellent replacement players.
some turns ago I offered Forger to join the Robot-Klingon alliance. Then we would have 300 planets soon. Forger didn't answer which I took as a no. With the current alliances it is a race for 250 planets between the Robot-Klingon alliance and the Lizard-Privateer alliance. That's fine :) I don't know exactly how the Bird is involved. But he has less than 50 planets so he would not be a gain for an alliance. Sorry Timestaller ;)
Meanwhile I find this game interesting. I like the stellar cartography. Playing against you as an excellent Privateer who has carriers and even a Loki is quite demanding. Now that the Lizard is also an opponent it will be even more time consuming. On the other hand I like this challange a lot. I'm still open for an more early end but I'm also satisfied if we fight it out. I guess in 30-50 turns we could have a decision.
I highly doubt the game will last as long as you think it will last, but I will try to keep you amused for a while longer.
Your pace of advance makes me wonder why you bother to install Transwarps in your ships emork. Please attack faster and walk into my trap already. I get bored just looking at it.
I'm happy that I fell in love with this very special game meanwhile. The prolonged battle may keep me from representing the Klingons in the next Emperor's war but well ... this game has the challenge level I long for anyway.
Vepr, 17 turns ago I made a forecast that this game will be decided in about 30-50 turns. You're still thinking this will happen much earlier?
At the time, I didn't think it would take as long as it is taking now. I will give you my analysis of the game after we are done, and for now will refrain from making more predictions.
Glad you like surprises. There are several more to come :)
thanks for playing. It was an exciting game for me - even near the end because of the monster fleet that surprisingly appeared in the east. I confess I have a pessimistic point of view and thought that losing suddenly has become an option. That's why I tried out the Falcon-swarm strategy. Nice way for getting the final planets, I can recommend it.
Emork, I am glad the monster fleet gave you a bit of a scare. That was the whole point :) I was hoping that with the 150% lizard hull damage bonus it would fight better, so i gave forger all the fighting ships I had. The falcon strategy was an excellent one. I didn't expect it since I didn't realize you cloned quite so many, and thus it was harder to counter. You hit my undefended back planets with great effect. Well played, you deserve the victory. A fashist with golems, huge robot layed mine fields, glories, and falcons is just too hard to stop. Glories in particular are a nightmare for a pirate. I don't think the outcome was ever truly in doubt, but I was trying to give you a run for your money.
Hey guys, thx again! The timing was perfect. Some days after this game ended which made me Klingon number one I was invited to the next championship match. Vepr, you were also invited fur sure. You don't want to risk your achiements? Is your goal to be the first to reach 10.000 points? If yes, you're on the best way.
