I have not played them yet, but my first impressions are: #1 move fireclouds in - which they basically can't intercept
#2 gut them with cubes

Impossible to kill on planets with natives for all races exept Lizards, Fascist, Borg.

Birds abilites and strenght depend on cloak and friendly code. 150ly detection range and no friendly code of horwasp puts them to a resignable position with horwasp as neighbour.

They ruin planets if they like to. Borg ruined the natives for all others but these bugs ruin natives and minerals. If they leave a planet its a dead rock.

I like the idea the old 11 races unite vs this thread.
But it seem not all players realize the thread to game balance.

They can turn planets to debris disk if they shoot a 1000 kt rock with warp 9 and accelerate them?
That will be no problem for a player after turn 20.

Distribute Amorphous to enemy planets.

Popping up minefields for almost no cost?

They are are a real challenge to play against.
They are fun to play till you have 40 Planets.
After this its not playing them, its hard boring work. Grinding.
