Playing lizards for the first time in a private game (I am really enjoying them). But I experienced something weird and I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else. In a ship on ship battle one of my ships (a captured SS Frigate) went up against a Missing Colonies Tranquility. It was a really close fight and I was expecting to win until my Frigate exploded at 105% damage. I thought all lizard ships shouldn't explode until they reach 150%? Is this a glitch or do captured ships have less hull strength?

Did it actually die at 105% and the other ship win?
My understanding is that it can survive above 100% (to 150) DURING the fight, but if you got above 100% the ship would die afterwards (it wins the fight but is then pulled apart by the 100% damage after the fight).
Lizard OWNED ships go to 150% they don't have to be on the original lizard build list.

It is probably what Zyki says: all crew was killed, SSFrigates are known to be very easy to capture because of the low crew-count. Once all crew is killed, the ship is owned by the other race. And BOOM, it explodes because the other race cannot withstand 150% damage.
@Pobs : Lizard-owned ships CAN actually take over 100% damage and survive. However, when combat occurs in orbit of a planet, and a Lizard ship takes over 100% damage, the gravitational forces of the planet rip the ship apart... Lizards may be strong, but planets are stronger :)

I had captured the skil taking the crew down to 10. When it fought the Tranquility, I damaged it to 75% and it took me to 105%, but at 105% it also killed my last crew member and ka-boom!
