i can show "interest" and i can "join" as a palyer. if i join, do i show interest and reserve the seat for that race?

Only joining reserves your 'seat' for that Race, and joining it doesn't automatically allocate an Interest vote, they are separate functions.

i thought seat would be reset once the game got moved to joining.. aw
