Question about minefield detection:

The range of minefield detection is 200 LY, but is that to the center of the field or the edge? (Or something else?)

Also, do nebulas affect minefield detection? Does it matter if the ship detecting the minefield is in a nebula, or if the minefield itself is in a nebula?

I have a ship in a nebula but I'm wondering if there will be any reduction in ability to detect a minefield ~200 LY away. (The minefield would not be in the nebula, at least not its center).

No, nebulas make no difference to minefield detection.

I had a game where I could see minefields deep inside nebulas centred over enemy planets that were outside my normal scan range. Helped me find his worlds a few turns faster. :)
