Question on Ion Storms - in a single Player game I have a huge minefield. Only enemy is Robot. The minefield does overlap some hostile planets far away from it's Center, so even if there would be Sweepers I think they could not reduce it very much in size. Now in one turn, the minefield suddenly vanishes. No significant Change but mine Decay is to be seen on hostile Minefields. There is a Class 4 Ion storm passing over the minefield. In last turn, it covered the Center of the Mine Field (so I think sweeping with Lasers should not be possible anyway on the mine field - side Question, would mines destroy mines of a field with its Center in an Ion Storm?). So I think there might be two Options: 1. The Ion Storm destroyed the mine field in the turn where the Ion Storm was overlapping the Mine Field at start of the turn - however this effect I do not see documented anywhere. 2. The mine field cannot be detected as long as its Center is covered by an Ion Storm (this is documented) - but does this apply to own mines? In other words, does my mine field still exist, but is hidden by the storm even to myself? 3. I am missing something. Any ideas? |
