Some of you are ready to move on to real games.
But i would like to warn you about a few things.

1. Privateers.
Privateer is a very tricky race to play against.
If you dont know how to do it, you will end up having all your ships stolen.
MvM games wont learn how to do it, nor will the beginner games.

So here is small guide:

if you play one of the 4 first races, you are well equipped to deal with them.
(lokis, glories and cloaking warships)
if you play one of the minelaying specialists, robots or crystal, you have good defense against privateer,
but wont be able to attack them.
And a strong privateer will be able to sweep your minefields.

If you are not one of the 4 first races, and privateer is in the game, one of your first prioritys should be to get your hands on lokis or glories.
This can be done by trading for them and cloning many copies,
or simply by allying with a race that can build them.

Even if you get your hands on a loki, privateer can ally with either fed, liz or birds,
and get help by cloakers that are immune to lokis.
Always try to figure out what is going on in the universe.
If you suspect a loki immune privateer alliance, rally all other races to stop the menace...

2. Pre-game alliances
Some automatically generated games can be plagued by serial droppers, pre-game alliances, or even multi account cheaters.
It can be very frustrating to end up in such a game.
If you want to avoid this, try to use this tool
http://planets.nu/_library/whisperer-scripts/researchgame.html
with this tool, you can see if there are any shenanigans with the players in a game you consider joining.
alternatively, join custom games, hosted by a player.
The shady players tend to avoid such games.
Those games can sometimes take longer to fill, but will typically be more fun.
(and game can be paused to look for replacement players, if most player agree)
