You're absolutly right about the fuel aspect, Mursu. In my only other PLS game I had chosen the Colonies for this reason. They have simply the best combination of fire power and mobility.

When rating the races for PLS we should not forget that our Deep Game had the special feature of a turn limit. Without it you surely would have beaten me. I assume 10 more turns would have been sufficient. As said, I was lucky with the course of events and the overall timing.

I think PLS-Planets is fun for most races but it is a completely different game than normal Planets. The biggest difference is the mode and target of war. In normal Planets you want to destroy the enemy fleet in a PP-efficient way because keeping your own losses low is very relevant for the next wars to come. In PLS-Planets you want to destroy the economic basis of your opponent to stop him from constantly rebuilding his fleet. This is best done by attacking his population. To mine minerals you need just 100-200 clans on a planet but to get money for techs, ships and ammo you need 1000+ clans. Take out the homeworld and the few high population planets and he won't recover. The ships you lose in this process don't matter.
