Does anyone know exactly how campaign resource is calculated at end-game for mid-joiner? I understand that if you survive till end-game, you get 4MC per planet / mineral based on remaining mineral on planet with weighting based on your ranking. But does it also apply to ones who join a slot who resigned?

As I recall, there's a reduction to the award if you've been playing less than 50 turns, but I won't swear to it. Anyone have a recent replacement game completed?

If you've played less than 50 turns you get a number-of-turns/50 multiplier in resources and achievement.
If you go over 50 turns you get what you would have gotten if you started at the beginning.

Thanks guys. So basically there's not much motivation to take over a race near end.

Hail,

Depends on how close to the end of the game for you are for some bonuses. If you rescue a race and improve its lot over 20 turns, you get tenacity rescue factor and should get 40% resources and achievements. Although the formula below shows 10 turns, Joshua replied the code actually shows you need 20 turns for the rescue factor to kick in.

Cheers,

MEGA

RE: TENACITY GAIN FOR REPLACEMENT GAMES: So I apparently still...
Replacement tenacity is a little more complex:
replacementtenacity = 1;
replacementtenacity +=(improvedreplacement / finishedgamecount) * 0.25 * (finishedgamecount / 10);

improvedreplacement is the number of improved replacement games in the past 10 finished games.

finishedgamecount is the number of finished qualifying games (max 10).

Oh, and just doubled checked the code. You must have been in the replacement game for at least 20 turns for it to qualify<<

Thanks Joshua / Mega,

Can you clarify bit more on the 'Improvement' please? Does it mean 'How many incremental planets we got after rescue'?

you join in turn 80 game end turn 105

planets that your race had at 105 (end) must be more than what you had 80 (when u joined)

I've taken over many resigned positions, often these games have a lot of droppers so it is easy to get more planets, I do selfishly try to stretch out the games to make it worth my time. I even snagged a 2nd place rank despite having the same amount of planets, probably because 3rd place was also a Mercenary but under 20 turns.

I consider it a service, even though I do it for selfish reasons. Greed is good.
