You should be able to ignore threads or specific comments on threads. Feel free to play around with it and let us know if it causes any problems. It won't effect anything on the main site, and we will clear the list of ignored threads when we release to the official site.
But *NOTE* that if you ignore a thread, it will also unsubscribe you so you will no longer receive email notifications of replies. You will need to post to the thread or 'Like' it to resubscribe. So you might want to avoid testing it on anything you are currently following. Ignoring a specific comment on a thread will not unsubscribe you from the main thread however.
This implementation doesn't go as far as some suggestions, such as ignoring an entire category of threads or everything from a specific user, but we think it should cover the bulk of cases. We'll see how it goes and if it proves insufficient we can look into expanding the functionality. |
