Planets CON Finland, TURN of the year AND "FACE PALM" of the year competition.

Please send your candidates for best turn AND also worst face palm moments of recent year. We will look them through, and vote for the best/worst. Winners will be awarded at planets con Finland.

Please send link to the game, mention turn and short explanation what happened and the consequenses. Only finished games because must be able to look them through

This is a Request for Clarification.

As only finished games can be considered, I believe that the awards are for games ended in the past year, and could be for turns made in previous years. Is this correct?

The Setup:
Turn 179, xTal intel observe a fleet of enemy ships orbiting planet on the edge of the echocluster, high command has put in a request to send a lone ship to observe the fleet movements and to destroy the fleet if possible
Turn 180, Ship #397, orbiting p#158 Carillon, sent on a dangerous mission to intercept Borg fleet orbiting p#46 Dunwich
Turn 187, Ship #397 lands on p#46 Dunwich, sets warp speed to 1 and waypoint (3035, 1798) to intercept Borg fleet. Final arrangements are made including:
- Borg ship mass calculations to confirm that all ships have fuel
- Ship #397 primary enemy set to Borg
- Ship #397 mission remains cloak
- Several Starbases set to build Opals and FC's set to priority build to take advantage of PBPs to be farmed
- Currently Privateer player has PP lead, Borg has ship lead with 143 total ships

Turn of the year - Turn 188:
- Shock and awe, doubt enters into the Rebel/Borg/Priv alliance, Borg player in disarray as they can't seem to grasp the turning point in the game
- Message From: The Rebel Confederation to the Borg, "All those explosions, are you going OK?"
- Response From: The Cyborg, "Uff. Shit ships around a planet. I could build 6 Cubes!!!"
- xTals enjoy watching over 30 VCRs, who doesn't enjoy watching VCRs?
- 17 ships built, resulting in the ship lead for the xTal
- Turning point in the game leading to the eventual victory for the xTal/Bird alliance

Could be submitted as well by the Borg as facepalm of the year candidate. Don't put fuel on your PBP reserve ;)

About face palms: I will announce how to make a nice well planned web trap for 2 darkwings and a reso, and intercept them in the same turn with the biocide to kill them and possibly turn the tide of the game. Game was dead even at that point. Everything went JUST RIGHT and the ships hit the webs, and the biocide got them pants down.... everything seemed perfect - until the first VCR! You will hear one of the most painful moment in my planets career... :)
