Super Spy Advanced and Starbase Fighter Transfer added to...Write Reply
Super Spy Advanced and Starbase Fighter Transfer added to blitz and custom games.

The two advantages recently moved into the standard games have also been added to blitz games.

In addition, they have been added to the setup options for custom games. Custom games also now have options for Incremental Fight or Fail and to enable cloudy ion storms.

None of these changes will effect any games already created.

Good news. How about reflect such options in the default game description field when the game is designed?

@BB: Now that SSA is standard it doesn't have to be researched anymore, or am I wrong here? If not: on my Bird officer's page SSA is still diplayed as "not researched".

Anything about diplomatic spies? Worse "advantage" ever since no one will even have an ambassador with you. Should be -50.

I was lucky not to research it before the first feedback from Bird commanders. So if I play Birds my officer's page proves that I don't have it. But the poor Birds who already have researched it ... should be given a way to undo that.

@Big+Beefer - Thanks for the implementation! I thing of these are excellent additions to each race, neither being too overpowered but certainly very useful.

During Joshua's presentation at the Con, he mentioned those who have researched those capabilities would get the campaign points reimbursed. Is that going to be automatic?

Attending to the Starbase Transfer Figther definition:
"Starbases and Gorbies set to Send Fighters will send all the available fighters to any starbase or Gorbie within 200ly which has a Receive fighters mission set. Or you can set it to send to a specific target, in which case the receiver does not need to use the Receive Fighters mission."

In the latter case, does the 200ly away limit apply? Whatever the case, I think that could be explicitely detailed in the definition.

@Ardaukas - the 200 LY applies to each transfer. To get around it, daisy chain multiple transfers (same turn). Using a Gorbie as a mobile platform can help too.

One thing that I'm not clear on is the order of transfers. I believe it's based on the ID but what if a planet and Gorbie have the same ID?

... did they change the rules again? Where is the announcement with the details?

... too bad I bought SSA recently. Maybe the best tactic for Campaign Advantages is just to wait for them to become standard.

No announcement as of yet (that I've seen) but that's what Joshua said in his state of the Nuniverse at the Con.

I bought SSA too and it's pretty awesome. Even if it doesn't get reimbursed (fingers crossed!!) I don't regret buying it.
