Userscript: Enables auto usage of gravity wells and auto warp Write Reply

This small userscript enables auto usage of gravity wells and setting warp automatically

1. Whenever you set a ship waypoint, gravity well is used automatically, and also a warp speed (maximum according to ship's engines)
2. If you don't want to use a warp well, or if you want to use manual waypoint inside a well, click with Ctrl pressed. Warp is always set automatically cause it's pretty rare case when you need to have non-maximum warp according to your engines (e.g. grav.well movement at 1 warp)

Been waiting for this, but would prefer if the auto-warp 9 was left off.

Good job, the snap to warp well was a big thing left out of the GUI.

it's not warp 9, it's normal warp according to current engines.
anyway, to disable this feature just comment out this line in script:

 ship.warp = ship.engineid;

what exactly do you mean by gravity well is used automatically?  when you are traveling to the planet, they are always figured into calculations as is?

when you click on a target planet the waypoint is set to the closest grav.well point, other calculations are done as usual, thus you have correct fuel usage for grav.well travel etc.

just use this stuff and explore target planet at well zoom range to see how the waypoint was set

Nice, always liked that in VPA. :)

One thing I'm wondering about: Does that waypoint stay active even after reaching it and being sucked to the planet. I believe to have seen something like this at NU where ships would keep trying to reach the spot in the warpwell all following turns unless it gets a new waypoint. (Not a problem as it will just be sucked back, but it might burn some fuel.)

yes, but it's exacly the VPA behavior.

no, it's not requiring any fuel.
though, the real well movement is performed so, e.g. there's a tiny chance to hit a minefield if it covers the well.

not sure if it's a good idea to clear waypoint after movement. it's not done in VPA :)
