Android App Updated - Beginner games now replace Academy

Friday, February 15, 2019

The Google Play android app has been updated with the latest mobile interface. The app now works the same as the website in terms of behaviour but can easily be installed from the Google Play store for full screen play.

You can install the app to your android device from the play store:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nu.planets.android

With this update we are transitioning away from the old Android App interface which was used to play Academy games. Academy games are being transitioned to the more normalized format of "Beginner ruleset" games. (which don't have to be for beginners, but remove some of the features of standard games)

The old Android interface is still available:

If you are playing an Academy game today you can install and download the old Android interface to continue playing in those games. You can download and install this app directly to your android device using the following link:

http://planets.nu/_library/mobileapp/nu.planets.android-aligned.apk

From this interface you can continue to play your existing Academy games.

One Platform

We are continuing our efforts to align all our development efforts into a single platform which can be continuously improved. Maintaining several code bases and user interfaces has stretched our limited development resources. With this change we are now on a single code base for all platforms and changes will be supported across all - allowing us to continue to improve and develop the game more quickly.

This app is also being submitted to the Apple App store for IOS devices. We are hoping to be approved and will let you know when that process is complete.

Try out the app install today and please report any issues back. Also, be sure to give the Planets Nu app a 5 star review to increase it's exposure in the store!

Thanks as always for your support!
