Find Minerals Map ToolsFriday, December 31, 2010 A new map tool has been added which allows you to plot the minerals on planets in your empire. To use the new tool go to your "Map Tools" drop down and click on one of the four minerals, Neutronium, Duranium, Tritanium or Molybdenum. The system will then plot the minerals on the planets you own or have explored. There will be rings in two colors, Cyan and Orange. Orange rings represent minerals which have already been mined out and are on the surface of the planet. Cyan represents unmined minerals. The thickness of the cyan rings represents the density of the mineral. Thick rings mean high density, thin rings mean low density. Enjoy! Maybe we could also have a tool for showing (on the starmap) natives and/or structures? Or simply a way to color code planets ourselves. figak - Friday, December 31, 2010 10:46 PM Ah very nice! Not how I'm used from Echoview but I will get used to it. The number of rings means what? It might be nice to have a legend (or explanation) in the starmap. yakies1 - Sunday, January 02, 2011 4:50 PM Cut and paste from Joshua's post in the forums further explaining the details of this function: The blue circles represent the unmined minerals on the planet. 1 circle = 500 or more 2 circles = 2000 or more 3 circles = 5000 or more 4 circles = 10000 or more. The orange circles represent the already mined minerals on the planet with the same values. The thickness of the blue circles represents the density of the minerals. Thick circles indicate that the density is high, and thin circles mean that the density is low and it will take longer to mine it out.
