Sagittarius War Update

Friday, April 12, 2013
The Sagittarius War has produced a marvelous opening salvo of 60 turns entertaining all watchers with drama, intrigue, betrayal and sex appeal. These incredible commanders hit the Ship Limit in just 24 turns (a Nu record).

Outside intelligence has pieced together this overview of the battle thus far:

An early war between the Rebels and the Privateers saw Grandfather Yosh of the Rebels in trouble. Turning to Halion of the Federation for help he handed over most of his ships, the entire Calamari fleet, for Super Refitting. Incredibly he did not foresee the betrayal that would come when Supreme Commander Halion decided to take the entire fleet for his own use. Grandfather Yosh proved too trusting and his empire has fallen. Rumors have it, Grandfather Yosh has migrated to the Cyborg empire and is looking to exact revenge from there.

Meanwhile, hoping to eliminate the Cyborg early Commander Dines of the Lizards, who had an incredible start, attacked with support from Mentar of the Colonies. Andy44 of the Cyborg however, was not so easily dispatched. Holding ground incredibly well under this massive pressure, he has held his own.

With one flank relatively safe Commander Mentar, with his lovely assistant Lina at his side, took the opportunity to invade the Empire of the Birds and Commander Mycroft was unable to hold him back. The last Birdman ships cloaked and haven't been seen since.

On turn 58, the most incredible turn of events this cluster has seen yet occurred. The sudden, unexpected, and unexplained disappearance of Supreme Commander Dines! In what appears to be a strong position, pressing the attack on the Cyborg, this honorable commander has simply gone missing! Given this situation, the scavengers have moved in and the Lizard empire is rapidly collapsing.

Supreme Commander Dines, we don't know what happened to you. But if you're out there somewhere, we sure hope to see you back in the Nuniverse one day!
