The second Emperor Game is has started. And as the first turns are played.....Gentlemen place your bets.

1) Who will be the emperor and why?
2) Who will die first and why?
3) Who will kill another race first and why?
4) Which turn the ship limit will be hit?
5) Which turn the first race be dead?

Ok, here is my prediction. this is of course pure speculation, but

IF dungeonmaster is in the top 3 at turn 25, he will win the game.
If not, then the favorite is dragondejhi. We may have two lizard emperor's back to back.
After that, the next favorite is veldan. Othrym is a great pirate, but pirates have too many weaknesses.

emork is very good but in my opinion too cautious. jkovaleinen has to overcome the inherent weaknesses of the birds. bondservant is also very good, but i think prefers to function as part of an alliance. as there are no true alliances, that may be a problem.

3) The Fascists, because jkovalainen has learned from Admiral Thrain
4) 22 because this time an early kill might be harder

Emperor will be Emork, he gave me a real good beating just now
Veldan will die first, I have little faith in the Colonies
Robots w/ Privateer tow ships will get the first kill
Ship limit at 35, low mineral cluster
First dead at 35, lots of skilled and agressive players in the game

1 - dungeonmaster if people let him build > 8 cubes, my 2 other favorites are emork and skiv.

2 - dungeonmaster for the same reason as above :p. Julius seems to be a bit weaker than the other players on that game, if he ends with the wrong neighbor (say othrym), he may be out early.

3 - either emork, dragondejhi or othrym in that order of preference.

4 - Around turn 25

5 - turn ~10, if not, it's harder to predict

I bet 2 cents.

      Skiv - pure aggression.
2) Who will die first and why?
      Borg - because they must if anyone else wants to win.
3) Who will kill another race first and why?
      Fascists - Fascists are good at it.
4) Which turn the ship limit will be hit?
      32 - I hope the heavy carrier races learned a lesson from the first game.
5) Which turn the first race be dead?
      40 - It is tough to kill folks in the championship game. But technically dead and practically dead (turn 15) are two different things.

I've been allies with two of these potential champions and an enemy of one. Anyone of these players have the potential to win.

Before the first turn, I would have said Veldan had a good shot at winning it all.

Now? Probably dungeonmaster (I think Borg are OP). Next probably Othrym. I don't have a lot of experience.

Kill first? The fascists... the best early killers?

Die first? I think it will be the Fed.

Ship limit at 23.

First dead at 40, severely injured at 15.

emork: I know him and he is very good
2) Who will die first and why?

The Cyborg; dungeionmaster is a very good player, but there is no room for the borg in agame where all players are experienced
3) Who will kill another race first and why?

The Fascist; its a war game

1. Dungeon Master - Someone will slip and not kill the Borg.

2. Othrym - Someone won't slip and will destroy the Pirate H.W. early.

3. Whoever is next to the Pirate, will Ace him. Because these Players know better than to not Ace the Pirate quick.

4. 20 on the Ship Limit

5. Pirate will lose H.W. on Turn 18

I'll take 5-1 odds on the Borg...risking 1500 achievement. Who can book that?

    My heart is oon the Lizzard side- but Borg will win this game - never seen a Borg with this amazing early-game-power

Well, as it turns out these bets were correct: finsch, jobo, vepr, capnkill, zelrik, jm and star72066.
For your confidence in placing a bet on my name you should get something right? It was an open wager but a public wager after all.
What I can offer is the following: If you are ever in a bad spot, say an ally suddenly drops, or a game loses a major player and you want to continue it, or perhaps more commonly you cannot fulfil your own commitment to a game - send me a message. I'll try my best to fill the gap as friend, foe or replacement.

No promises, I am for instance taking a small break from planets for a month or so right now, but if you need a stiff opponent or a strong ally, sound the trumpet and I just may show up in thunder, lightning and loud trumpets sounding to ordain the law.
