My friend and I joined game 46905 on team 1. While we were waiting for a third real-world-friend to join, we both played our turns, built a new ship, set a waypoint and mission for our starting freighter, and marked our turns done.
In the mean time a player we didn't know joined in the third slot of team 1. We kindly asked him to step down which he gracefully did. Then our real-world-friend joined in the third slot. Going back into our turns I noticed all the taxation, structures built and commands had been reset on my turn and of the turn of the friend that joined at the same time I did. Additionally, when going to build a ship again, the hull, beams, and engines of the first ship I built were still there, effectively providing me a free ship.
I am glad I noticed the reset, because I would have been pissed if I would have missed the first turn. But if this is a repeatable bug, I could have easily exploited it by building an annihilation hull, resetting the turns by joining with a bogus account and stepping back out, and then building a probe while my totally free cube ship sat there for free. |
