Planetary Command Screen

The main planetary screen gives you a listing of important planet stats. From here you can go to the build screen that allows you to build new planetary structures. You can also switch to this planet's starbase or build a new starbase if this planet doesn't already have one.

You can move the planet's scanner beam around with the arrow keys or a mouse. Use the beam to show enemy and friendly ships traveling through open space or in orbit around any of your planets. Enemy ships show up as red dots and friendly ships show up as green dots. Planets with blue rings are one's that you own. Planets with green rings have one of your ships in orbit around it.

The stats show the number of mineral mines, factories and defense outposts on this planet. The stats show the amount of neutronium, tritanium, duranium and molybdenum that have been mined and is ready for use. Use the mining survey to see the remaining amount of minerals remaining underground. Also shown is the amount of supplies beamed down from starships or produced by the planets factories.

The native race, colonist populationnative government system and tax rate are shown as well how they feel about living on the planet with your colonists.

Be very careful you don't over tax the natives or the colonists. If they feel over taxed a riot or even a civil war may result.

A tax rate around 8% is generally safe.

If you do decide to have a very high tax rate the population will be very mad at you instantly, but it may take several turns for them to become so unhappy that they begin to riot or start a war.

Megacredits and supplies are used to build mines, factories, defense outposts or a starbase. If the planet has a starbase the Megacredits can be used to build starships. The planet's funds are generated by taxes and from the sale of supplies.
